I am Jahan Golestani, a documentary and reportage photographer interested in people, everyday life, and the social spaces in which they meet, move, work, and live. I have been photographing for more than ten years, developing long-term projects as well as observational work in public spaces.

Before focusing professionally on photography, I worked in scientific research and completed a PhD in France. This background continues to influence the way I approach photographic projects: with curiosity, patience, close observation, and an interest in understanding how people interact with their surroundings.

My recent work includes Live the Street – Strasbourg, Live the Street – Istanbul, and the long-term documentary project La Vie à Vélo à Strasbourg. Alongside photography, I also write fiction and poetry, an interest that contributes to my approach to visual storytelling.

I am available for documentary, reportage, editorial, cultural, and event photography projects, as well as publications and exhibitions.
